Dog agility: Dog agility is fast, furious and a great favourite with spectators as well as competitors. Guaranteed to provide excitement and entertainment across all three show days, come and see sop quality competitors in action in the four arenas. Located on the south side of the showground adjacent to the members car park, with good spectator viewing, you can see some of the nation’s happiest dogs in action.
The animal’s fitness and the handler’s ability to train and direct the dog over and through various obstacles are tested to their limits. There are also classes for young handlers, so make sure you take some time out during the show watch this exciting sport, really entertaining -you won’t be disappointed.
Countryside Park: The Countryside Park is situated just a short walk away from Radio Pembrokeshire, look out for the two 20m high climbing poles and the large direction signs leading past the livestock building toward the showground entrance.
A new central arena will host activities and demonstrations throughout the day, including the Wye Valley axe men, the fantastic ferret world show, BASC gundog handling and a wonderful falconry display. Also the ever-popular Sheep Shoe moves to the Countryside Park featuring amazing dancing sheep!
If you have an interest in nature, countryside skills, and field sports or just want a woodland spot for a picnic, it really is worth a visit. The new layout will enable everyone to get close to the demonstrations., check out the trade stands, including the Dogs Trust, Burns Pet Nutrition and a display of dry stone walling techniques.
The picnic area has been enlarged and will be complimented by a horse trailer chow wagon serving teas and yummy cakes, so you can enjoy a break with a cuppa, whilst watching the action.
