Pembrokeshire County Council are set to say farewell to its head of infrastructure.

County councillor Jacob Williams recently informed members of East Williamston Community Council, that longstanding PCC highways department employee Darren Thomas, would be leaving PCC after 27 years' service.

Cllr Williams said Mr Thomas would be known by all of the county's town and community councils, and wished him well. He is expected to take up the post of head of engineering at the Port of Milford Haven.

Cllr Williams revealed that Sarah Edwards, a senior officer of the authority's environmental service, will become head of infrastructure and environment from February 21 until a permanent head of service is appointed in due course, a process which may include structural changes to the service.
