This sunny summer term, Class 2 at Orielton CP School, Hundleton, have been studying wildlife, their habitats and food webs. Making the most of the resources in the local community, the pupils have visited Valero's Pwllcrochan Environmental Centre, Orielton Field Studies Centre, and the National Trust's Broadhaven beach, Bosherston lily ponds and Colby Woodland Gardens. The children have enjoyed pond dipping, rock pooling and exploring nature trails. They've also had a school visit from the fantastic Zoolab to study more exotic creatures such as scorpions, tarantulas and milk snakes. Tim Reed, teacher, said: "At Orielton School, we like to give the children as many opportunities as possible to extend their learning."
