Defending champions Neyland continued where they left off last season by winning their first two matches in the Nick Evans (The Cricket Shop, Narberth) Indoor Cricket League, at the Meads Leisure Centre, Milford Haven.
Good bowling and fielding resulted in Pembroke Dock being bowled out for 44, despite the efforts of Nick Daley with 16. Sean Hannon took two for nine
In reply, Neyland reached 45 for three, with the main contributors being Nick Koomen with 15 and Paul Murray with 12 not out.
In the second game, Neyland scored 106 for four against Cresselly.
Andrew Miller scored 29 not out, supported by Sean Hannon with 21 not out and Gregg Miller with 19. Siôn Jenkins was the pick of the Cresselly bowlers with two for 16.
Cresselly were restricted to 79 for five as former Cresselly player Jake Davies took two for 16.
The Cresselly runs came from Matthew Morgan (19), Steffan Jenkins (15) and Nick Davies (14)
Cresselly had better fortune in their second game of the afternoon with a comfortable win over Pembroke Dock after scoring 106 for five.
Consistent batting by Siôn Jenkins (25), Matthew Morgan 24 not out and Sam Harts 20 gave the innings some stability. Jake Davies took two of the wickets to fall.
Pembroke Dock battled hard to score 77 for 6 as Jake Davies scored 33 and Scott Griffiths 16.
Steffan Jenkins and young Harry Thomas took two wickets each.
In the next round of matches on Sunday, Whitland, Saundersfoot and Haverfordwest A will each play their first games of the season.
