Kerbcraft

Year 1 pupils at Narberth CP School successfully completed the kerbcraft project and were presented with their certificates and goody bags (se picture right). A huge thanks to Jenny Barefoot and to the parents who volunteered to help with this project.

Gareth Bale football boots

Marie Tilley - Theo and Marley's' mum - recently attended a special assembly to talk to the pupils about her recent run in the London Marathon and also showed her medal. She will also take part in the Velothon - Cardiff, Broad Haven Triathlon, Long Course weekend and the Iroman Wales at Tenby. All the proceeds from these will go to Juvenile Diabetes.

She also brought in a special pair of signed football boots which she had received when she met Gareth Bale recently. The pupils were really excited to see these very special boots. They will be raffled soon at £5 per ticket and the funds will go to Juvenile Diabetes.

If you would like a chance to win this pair of boots from a World Class player, please call at the School Reception.

Pictured below are some of the pupils with Marie Tilley.

Urdd County Football

Following their success at the area Urdd football competition in the Autumn term, Narberth CP School had a boys and a girls team competing at the county finals at Camrose FC on Tuesday, April 21. There were six teams competing altogether in both competitions, giving all teams the opportunity to play against each other.

In the girls competition, they played very well in all of their games, showing some good teamwork. They won two of the games, drew two and lost one game. Eventually they finished in second place, an excellent achievement.

The boys also did very well and their results were the same as the girls in winning two, a draw in two games and one loss. They finished in third place. They played very well and showed some excellent skills.

All in all, it was a very enjoyable day and both teams made the school proud.

The teams ([icture at the bottom right) were as follows: girls - Honey, Carly, Phoebe, Mali, Isla, Elen, Jemima, Aine and Lowri; boys - Daniel, Ryan, Rhys, Charlie, Oscar, Harry, Elliot, Yori and Shay.
