Thirty-five Rotarians and friends of the Rotary Club of Tenby attended a joint hand-over and club meeting at the town's Royal Lion Hotel last week. The meeting was also attended by Rotary Club Assistant District Governor Tony Parks.
The large gathering saw the handover from president Richard Caley to incoming president Stephen Williams, who duly introduced his officers to the club.
Gareth Evans, as president-elect and chairman of membership services, communication, fund-raising and youth activities committee, presented his outline for the year, and president-nominee, Dr. John Bowen, was then introduced as chairman of community services, vocational, international service and Rotary foundation committee, and gave his outline for the year.
The president continued by introducing Don Ramsay as treasurer and Jim Fleming as secretary. The club was shown a 20-minute Powerpoint presentation which had been prepared by president-elect Gareth Evans, which showed the 60 years of past presidents and the distinguished history of the Rotary Club of Tenby in the community, which finished with an amusing summary of past president Richard's year in office. The meeting was closed by president Stephen.
