HELLO, hello, hello! Meet Narberth's new police sergeant.
Sgt. Aled Davies has recently taken over the reins of the Jesse Road police station from Sgt. Andy King.
Forty-four-year-old Sgt. Davies has 20 years service in the Dyfed Powys force and his move to Narberth sees him having worked at every station in Pembrokeshire.
A Welsh speaker, Sgt. Davies hails from Newcastle Emlyn, and was more recently Acting Inspector in Pembroke Dock.
Sgt. Davies says he is looking forward to working at the Narberth station which is part of the Tenby North Section.
"I am looking forward to working with the neighbourhood policing team and other agencies in tackling areas of concern to members of the public to try and achieve a win win situation," he said.
"I am lucky I have got a good team of officers to assist me in integrating myself in the community and I am looking forward to working with the public in resolving any problems there may be in the community."
Sgt. Davies continued: "Sgt. Andy King did a great job here and I look forward to continuing his good work."
Sgt. Davies added: "If people have got a concern, please don't sit on them. Visit us here at the police station or at the surgeries that are held in the various localities every last Tuesday in the month.
"It may only be a small concern to some, but it may be very interesting to us and it could help us solve a piece of a jigsaw."
Footnote: Police surgeries are held on the last Tuesday of each month at the following locations: Lawrenny Post Office 10.15 - 11 am; Kilgetty Co-op 11.30 am - 12.30 pm; Clunderwen Spar 2 - 3 pm; Maenchlochog green 3.30 - 4.15 pm.
