Phillip Titterton OBE, a Tenby boy who started his naval career with Tenby Sea Cadets, has recently been promoted to Commodore and will be Deputy Commander of Combined Operations US Navy Fleet Forces command. Phillip was educated at Greenhill School and entered Britannia Royal Naval College in 1981. He opted for a career in the submarine service in 1983 and was awarded his 'dolphins' in 1984. During his service he has served on a number of nuclear submarines. Phillip is the elder son of Jim and Linda Titterton, of Saundersfoot. He and his wife Sara will be moving to Norfolk, Virginia, to take up his new position in July, for approximately three years. They have three children.
