Friday became a royal occasion at Woodfield Nursing Home, Narberth. One of the residents reached the milestone of 100 years. Irene Lilian Smith was delighted to receive the royal birthday card from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The staff at the home organised a lovely party for the centennial. Balloons, party food, with birthday cake, and disco were the order of the day. Irene was seen doing the hand jive to the old time greats of Max Bygraves, before the party ended. Irene Lilian Smith, formerly of Panter Street, Pembroke, was born in Pembroke Dock to Lilian Maud, and Bertie Winter. In the photograph with Irene, are staff members, Erin, Rosie, Elaine, and Jenny, with the entertainer, Robbie Lee.
