Tenby Museum & Art Gallery is looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to join its team to help visitors enjoy their visits.
Duties of reception volunteers include - Greeting customers; Taking payment for admission; and selling items from the gift shop and second hand book collection.
“This is a great opportunity for volunteers to get involved in their local community and provide visitors with a warm welcome to the Museum,” said the Museum’s community heritage officer Glyn Harries.
“The front of house reception area serves as the first point of contact for visitors to the museum.
“In addition to this, you will get the opportunity to converse with guests from many different walks of life, and from around the world.
“You will be joining a team of likeminded individuals, making this an excellent opportunity to forge new connections and build new friendships.
“We are particularly looking for volunteers to help on Tuesdays from April 4. Our opening hours are 10 am to 5 pm. Volunteers are welcome to participate on a full day or half day basis,” he continued.
Established in 1878, Tenby Museum & Art Gallery is the oldest independent museum in Wales. Set over three floors, with two separate art galleries and a collection spanning from 700 million years ago to the present day.
