More harbour events on the calendar for the community of Saundersfoot to enjoy have been welcomed - with a tribute concert and ‘street food’ festival lined-up.

At the turn of the year, County Councillor for the south ward Cllr Chris Williams said that he wanted to see the seaside village’s harbour decking area utilised more in 2024 for community events, before attending a meeting with the new CEO Nicola Gandy, Harbour manager and marketing manager, to look at how Saundersfoot Harbour can be made more accessible throughout the year for the community.

Next month, the UK's premier Stereophonics tribute band The Phonics will be performing at the harbour along with Tom Jones tribute act Dean Jones.

Described as the closet thing you will hear to the Stereophonics - The Phonics love playing songs from their musical idols and this passion shines through when you hear them live!

This is a standing concert only with an area allocated to wheelchair users. Chairs, cushions, pushchairs and umbrellas will not be allowed on any part of the decking area.

The event will take place on Friday, May 3 between 7 and 10 pm.

“On a positive note, it is really refreshing to see the events decking being used for the community to engage and support events through the calendar year,” commented Cllr Williams.

“After numerous meetings with Nicola and her team, I’m extremely positive that they are looking forward to utilising not only the decking but all aspects of the harbour for the benefit of the residents and wider community.”
