On Monday the sturdy participants in the Tenby Project battled through Storm Franklin to get to Augustus Place, but agreed it had been worth the effort!
In the morning, everyone helped to clear out the cupboard and get ready for the coffee morning Everyone is welcome to come along on Monday from 11 to 12 to join for a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits and friendly chat. Go on your own or with a friend, pop in for five minutes or stay the hour! There are even some DVDs and original cross stitches on sale.
Some people stayed to help at the coffee morning, and others went up to the Edible Garden to do some tidying up after the storm, and to start planting vegetables ready for this season. They picked a pile of fresh spinach which was eaten at lunchtime -have you tried spinach and cheese on toast – sounds odd – tastes good!
In the afternoon, more people arrived to meet the mayor, Cllr. Mrs. Sam Skyrme-Blackhall. She came in all her robes and explained about her role, how you become mayor and that she was looking forward to meeting back in the Mayor’s Parlour again. It was agreed that the Tenby Project would visit as soon as it was all sorted out ready for use again, after its long empty winters.
After a planning meeting for next week, when the Town Crier is visiting in the afternoon (all welcome!), everyone helped pack things away and tidy up the hall. The Tenby Project thanks everyone who came along and made it such an enjoyable day.
