Miss S. J. Vickery
Mr. R. A. Bromby
Married recently at St. Laurence Catholic Church, Petersfield, Hampshire, were Miss Sarah Jane Vickery and Mr. Rhys Anthony Bromby.
The bride is the second daughter of Ms. Mary Naylor, of Petersfield, and Mr. Clive Vickery, of Pickering, Ontario, Canada, while the groom is the third son of Sharan and Phil Bromby, of Tenby.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a lace dress by Canadian designer Barbra Allin and a long Joyce Jackson veil with vintage-style lace edges. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of scabious, bouvardia, nigella, jasmine and cow parsley. All flowers were the stunning creation of Sue Vaughan, of Sue Vaughan Flower Loft.
Maid of honour was the bride's younger sister, Lisa, while the bridesmaids were Jemma Racine, bride's elder sister, and Lizzie Vaughan, bride's best friend. The flower girls were Millie Evans-Thomas (groom's daughter) and Ella Bromby (groom's niece). Ioan Bromby (groom's nephew) was page boy.
The best men were Thomas and Hywel Bromby (groom's brothers) and the ushers were Will Vickery (bride's brother), Luke Jones and Hugh Smith (friends).
The ceremony was conducted by Fr. Peter Hollins and the congregation were entertained during the signing of the register by Thomas on guitar and Carys and Sharan Bromby on violin. Organist for the service was David Groves. Jo Huckle (friend of the couple) and Carys Bromby (groom's sister) read passages from the Corinthians and the Colossians, while Deborah Naylor (bride's cousin) said the bidding prayers.
The reception, held at Grittenham Barn, West Sussex, was followed by an evening of dancing and entertainment provided by vintage wedding band, Victoriana. Guests travelled from as far afield as Ireland, Hong Kong, Singapore and Canada.
After their honeymoon in Bali and Lombok, the couple continue to live in Clifton, Bristol, where the bride works in healthcare marketing and the groom is an accountant.
