On Sunday, May 1, two of the Tenby Aces, Carlton Coates and Chris Lloyd, took on the ultimate marathon challenge on behalf of Wales Air Ambulance when they entered the Ultra Marathon from Brecon to Cardiff, a distance of 43 miles, which they completed in just over eight hours.

Both men were sponsored for the event, with Chris raising the grand sum of £650 and Carlton reserving his contribution until after he has completed the 224-mile cycle ride from the North Wales air base in Caernarvon to Llanelli and then on to Tenby on Saturday, June 18.

Their efforts and those of the members of the Tenby Aces cycle group and their lady counterparts, the Hedge Crashers, are not just raising funds for the charity, they are saving lives of those who will benefit from the Wales Air Ambulance services, sponsored by the people of Wales for the people of Wales.
