Dyfed-Powys Police has confirmed that a man has been charged with dangerous driving following the fatal road traffic collision that occurred between Tenby and Penally on Monday (September 2) which saw local taxi driver Chris ‘Mukka’ Boyle sadly die at the scene.

Thirty-year-old Mateusz Sikorski, was charged with causing death by dangerous driving and appeared at Llanelli Magistrates Court this morning, Thursday (September 5), where he was remanded in custody to appear at Swansea Crown Court on Monday, October 7.

The RTC occurred on the A4139 at around 10.15pm.

Tributes across the community continue to pour in for fifty-seven-year-old Chris ‘Mukka’ Boyle from Park Avenue, Kilgetty - who fellow cabbies have called ‘one of the best’ and the ‘kindest, funniest, most genuine, helpful’ taxi driver ever.

His family said: “Chris was a much-loved son, dad, brother, uncle and friend. Known as ‘Mucker’ to his friends, he was very involved in the community and would do anything to help anyone.”

Fellow taxi driver and former mayor of Tenby, Tony Brown shared on social media: “RIP to the best of us all ‘Mukka boy’ original and top dog, always there with a laugh or a bit of heavy if needed, will never forget you mate. Rest well - time to call it a night shift finished.”

Tenby Taxis’ Tim Lemon posted in tribute on Facebook: “As a taxi community we lost one of the best. The kindest, funniest, most genuine, helpful taxi driver ever.

“We are all heartbroken, saddened and in total disbelief at the loss of our colleague and dear friend.

“Chris was such a character and totally irreplaceable.

“He would help anybody for any reason at any time, he was such a gentleman, always smiling always happy and always very good to everyone he met.

“We love you, we will miss you.”

Crow Cabs posted on social media: "We are so saddened to hear of the passing of our good friend and fellow cabbie Chris - Mukka boy.

“Always smiling and supporting all locals in their businesses, nothing was ever too much for him.”

Another local posted: “Such a true gent and looked out for everyone. Always made sure I got home safe. Pembrokeshire won’t be the same!”
