Children’s author Wendy Hobbs will be holding a ‘magical’ book signing at Tenby Bookshop on Saturday, February 18.
Wendy, the author of the magical Claudia Quash adventures series, will be selling signed copies of ‘The Spell of Pencliff’ and ‘Claudia’s Special Wish’ at the event which is taking place from 11 am to 3 pm, at the shop situated in Tudor Square.
“I own a property in the area and Tenby inspired my first book, ‘The Spell of Pencliff’ which features the resort’s award-winning beaches, the Tudor Merchant’s House, St. Catherine’s Island (St. Agatha’s lsland) and the Ghost Walk,” said Wendy.
‘The Spell of Pencliff’ received some amazing reviews on release and recently won a book award, while Wendy’s second book in this series, ‘Claudia Quash and the Cursed Crystal’, will be out later this year.
“With regard to ‘Claudia’s Special Wish’ - I was invited by Mr. Tony Curtis MBE from Dreams and Wishes, a wonderful non-profit children’s charity to write a magical story, so I wrote the book and read it in The Houses of Parliament on behalf of the charity last December in the presence of the Rt. Hon. John Bercow, Speaker of the House of Commons, and I also managed to visit 10 Downing Street,” continued Wendy.
“So far, the book has raised over £5,000 and I have donated all of the proceeds of sale to help grant wishes to seriously ill children,” she added.
