Last Tuesday, the Quaynotes Choir, under the leadership of MD Sharron Lusher, gave a fund-raising concert at St. Johns, Tenby.
A fine evening, an appreciative audience and the choir in good voice, made for a night of music enjoyed by all involved.
Choir members Bronwen Hurlow with a lovely version of 'God keep you' and Val Evans who sang the old favourite 'Hello Young Lovers' were both given the applause their performances deserved.
Highlight of the evening was a guest solo spot by local student Lily Whitehurst (pictured).
Fourteen-year-old Lily, who studies at Greenhill School, is a past member of National Children's Orchestra, twice winner of the Urdd Eisteddfod and a member of the Three Counties Orchestra..
She thrilled and enchanted audience and choir alike with a virtuoso performance on the violin and showed once again what wonderful young musical talent we have in Pembrokeshire.
The choir's next performance is on Thursday, August 27, at St. Teilo's Church, Tenby.
