TWO sisters with strong local connections have been part of a group of 'Ladies On A Mission'.

Sara Basnett and Nicola Francis, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Hart from Narberth, were among a group of five ladies that successfully climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for charity.

The two, who live in Newport, Gwent, were joined by Sara's neighbour Michele Morris, friend Toni Bellew, and Peggy Mcnamara from Bristol.

Together, they raised the fantastic amount of £14,154.90 for Help for Heroes, chosen because they have had family members who have served in the forces.

Sara and Nicola would like to say a massive thankyou to everyone who sponsored them, both locally and further afield.

"It was a fantastic experience and I would recommend it to everyone," said Sara.
