As predicted by the Met Office’s Yellow Weather Warning, strong winds have been shaking trees and stirring waves in Pembrokeshire. As a result, both of today’s Pembroke to Rosslare sailings have been cancelled.

The ferry remains at Pembroke Dock terminal.

Once the heavy rain had subsided, weather conditions in the town did not seem too harsh, although the strewn twigs, branches and blossoms from the trees near the Public Library tell their own story, and the clouds are gathering once more, as more rain is expected to fall this afternoon between 4pm and 7pm, according to the Met Office weather forecast for Pembroke Dock.

The Yellow Warning is in force until 8pm today.

The force of the wind can be felt more fully on the seafront at Western Way, where this short video was made this morning.
