Proposals to increase the opening hours and services at Saundersfoot Library are under consideration.
The matter was discussed at this month’s meeting of Saundersfoot Community Council; when the Trustees of the library (located at the Regency Hall) outlined the service that had been provided in 2024/25 supported by an enthusiastic group of 16 volunteers.
In addition to books they also provided recycling bags, and a tourist information centre. They were also thinking of allowing “hot desking” in future.
SCC had supported the library with a donation of £4,100 last year.
It was unanimously agreed that the Community Liaison and Communication Working Group meet with the trustees about how to potentially increase the hours of opening and services offered in the library for 2025-26.
