AMIDST a large gathering of family and friends, Mary and Maurice Kinslow celebrated their Golden Wedding in the Nautilus Restaurant in Broad Haven. Mary (nee Watts) was formerly from Pembrokeshire before marrying Maurice, a young Kentish draughtsman, 50 years ago and following him to Bath to live.

The happy but emotional occasion was marked by Mary and Maurice asking for no gifts, but donations to be given to their nephew, Adam Evans-Thomas's 'Bucketful of Hope Appeal'. Adam died from Leukaemia three years after their son Gerry also died - both tragically young at 35 years of age.

A total of £400 was collected and given to boost the appeal fund, which is moving towards a state- of-the-art Cancer Care Unit at Withybush Hospital site. The project has grown and promises to be far larger than was first envisaged three years ago.
