Staff and students at Greenhill School continued their 50th anniversary celebrations by stepping out on a golden gallop on Tuesday morning.
It was a three-mile walk around Tenby by most of the pupils of Greenhill School. The children walked down Narberth Road into town and through to the Tenby Golf Club where Friends of Greenhill volunteers provided each child with a drink before journeying on through to Kiln Park and back to Greenhill where they spent the rest of the day at a barbecue in the grounds.
Graham Morris (DT dept - retiring at end of term sadly) made a fabulous 'Olympic torch' which head boy Will Mills passed from person to person along the route and it is thought every one of the pupils 'carried' the torch.
Many thanks to Alex Merrony, the main organiser, for a really well-organised event.
Year 7 are seen at the start tof he walk with Will Mills and the 'Olympic torch', organiser Alex Merrony, Mayor of Tenby, Clr. Trevor Hallett, and headteacher, Mrs. Jan Kingston.
