As the summer holidays get underway, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority is inviting families to join in its action-packed programme of activities and events.

The authority hosts events at its main visitor attractions: Castell Henllys Iron Age Fort, Carew Castle and Mill, Oriel y Parc Landscape Gallery in St. Davids and the National Park Centre, Tenby.

It also organises a programme of outdoor events across the National Park, from rockpool rambles and lighthouse visits through to twilight walks and bushcraft basics.

David Matthews, the authority's outreach co-ordinator, said: "With more people choosing to holiday at home this summer we have laid on a bumper programme of activities to suit all ages.

"You can meet one of our Rangers on July 27 in the St. Brides Coastal Ramble or the Beachcombs and Homes seashore search event; and there's chance to visit a lighthouse in What's that Sailing By? on July 30.

"But that's just a snap-shot -there are more than 75 events to choose from between now and the end of August so we really hope local people as well as visitors will join in the fun."

Some of the events are free and you don't have to book. Otherwise, charges are are £3.50 for adults and £2 concessions (under 18s, students, senior citizens and the unwaged) for half-day events and £5.50 for adults, £3 concessions for full day events.
