Next Thursday, August 24, local couple Brian and Susan McKehon are hosting a Garden Party and Summer Extravaganza at their home at 2 The Meadows, Pentlepoir.
The event, from 10 am to 4 pm, is being held in aid of the Bone Cancer Research Trust and will include a selection of cakes with beverages for all, cakes and pastries for sale, a raffle and several ‘challenge’ games, including a guess the weight of the cake, with the highest/most accurate-scoring winners receiving prizes at the end of the day.
Several organisations have helped with this event, donating produce and raffle prizes, including Marks and Spencer, Welsh Cottage Cakes in Llandeilo, Morrisons, Tesco Haverfordwest and Pembroke Dock, Co-Op Kilgetty, Celtic Haven, Herons Brook Retreat and the Plum Tree Tea Room at Tavernspite Garden Centre, to whom special thanks are extended for their generosity and support.
“We are hoping people will drop what they’re doing and come along to support Bone Cancer Research Trust and have a great time sampling the baked delights and trying their hand at some amusing and challenging games,” said Susan.
