Tenby Police Station is bidding a fond farewell to two of its popular members of staff.

Traffic warden Andrew Griffiths and PC Sharon Gibby are both leaving to take up new posts within Dyfed Powys Police Force.

After 16 years as a traffic warden, eight each in Narberth and Tenby, Andrew is to become a Police Community Support Officer based in Pembroke Dock, while PC737 Gibby is to become a dog handler based in Haverfordwest.

And it's something of an historic appointment for PC Gibby, as she will become the force's first female dog handler when she takes up her duties.

"I am sad to be leaving Tenby as I have made many friends in the 13 years I have been based at the station, but being a dog handler is something I have always wanted to do," she said.
