Congratulations to high flyer Instructor Cadet Flight Sergeant David Folder who has successfully completed a 12-hour flying scholarship.

David applied to do a flying scholarship through the Air Cadet organisation in 2013.

In total, 183 cadets throughout the organisation, which consists of approximately 44,000 cadets, have the opportunity to attempt the course each year and David was one of the lucky ones to be selected.

"I really enjoyed the course and it has inspired me to go further in the aviation industry," said David. "I had such a great time; the highlight of the week was being able to fly a solo circuit and gaining my wings."

David aspires to become a pilot in the Royal Air Force after he completes his A-Level exams and he continues to apply for more scholarships.
