It’s time to run, make a splash and get muddy as the National Trust’s Barafundle Bay Trailathlon returns to the Stackpole Estate on Sunday, October 14.

Now in its third year, the adrenaline-fuelled day of sporting activity will see participants of all ages and abilities take on a series of trails whilst enjoying the Pembrokeshire landscape.

Starting from Stackpole Quay, the Trailathlon includes a coast and countryside run (3 or 5 miles for adults and 1.5 miles for children), a scramble through a woodland obstacle course and a splash along the water’s edge at Barafundle Bay.

The route will conclude with a final run across the headland back to Stackpole Quay to enjoy a barbecue at the Boathouse Tea-room and a well-earned goody bag.

As the final countdown to the charity’s sporting event begins, visitors are advised to sign up soon to avoid disappointment. More than 200 people took part last year, with places now filling up fast for the 2018 Trailathlon.

Entry is £20 per adult, £15 per child and £50 for group entry (2 adults, 2 children) and can be booked online or via 01646 623110.

Registration will take place from 8.30 am on the day at Stackpole Quay car park, with the event starting at 10am and due to finish by 12.30pm.
