Celtic sounds will mingle with good-time and jazz in Saundersfoot at the weekend to accompany the village's celebrations of the Welsh patron saint.

The popular Saundersfoot St. David's Food and Craft Festival is taking place tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday in the village's splendid new Regency Hall Community Centre.

And musicians will be adding to the atmosphere of the lively event throughout the weekend.

Strolling players Fiddle box - Helen (The Fiddle) Adam and George (The Box) Whitfield - will be kicking off the musical action at 11 am on Saturday, with the Tudor Rhythm Kings getting feet tapping at 1 pm with their Dixieland jazz sounds and The Butch Boys entertaining at 4 pm.

Family folk band Caffl brings along its eclectic twist to the traditional musical repertoire at 11 am on Sunday, with instruments in its line-up including Uilleann pipes, harp, fiddle and bouzouki.

Then, at 2 pm, the sound of the Welsh harp will ring out as 14-year-old Georgia Evans concludes the entertainment programme.

The festival also features stalls, cookery demonstrations and workshops from Vicky North and Lisa Fearn, the Village Dragon Trail and the Saundersfoot Selfie photo competition.

It also incorporates the Cawl Cooking Championships of the World and Elsewhere on the Saturday lunchtime.

The festival is open between 10 am and 6 pm on Saturday and 10 am and 5 pm on Sunday.
