Father Christmas just can’t stay away from Tenby in the lead up to the big day, as the man in the red suit is returning to the seaside town once again this weekend to meet and greet the community!
Santa dropped in on Tenby at the end of last month, via lifeboat from a secret location out to sea to switch-on the seaside town’s festive lights at the start of the Yuletide season.
Now this Saturday (December 23) on the eve of Christmas Eve, Santa and his little helpers will join the Mayor to conduct a tour of not just the Walled Town, but head out to see children and their families living in and around Tenby.
The Mayor and Santa will leave the De Valence Pavilion on Upper Frog Street at around 5 pm to begin their tour of Tenby.
Starting in White Lion Street they will go into High Street before entering Tudor Square, going down St. Julian’s Street and to Castle Square, before heading back up St. Julian’s Street and into Tudor Square before going left onto Church Street and St. Georges Street.
After that they will go right into Upper Frog Street, right onto White Lion Street and then left before going down the Norton and along passed Merlins Gardens before going left into the Glebe and all around the Glebe.
Next, they will go left onto Narberth Road and passed Haytor Gardens before turning into Upper Hill Park, also visiting Lady Park and Seascape.
They will head down Serpentine Road and left into Heywood Lane before going to Heywood Court. They will then go back onto Heywood Lane, pausing at the end of Leachway
Santa’s sleigh will then go down to the Green and onto Marsh Road before turning right into Newell Hill.
Continuing along Marsh Road they will visit Knowling Mead, Hafalnod and Churchill Close before passing the Leisure Centre and going onto the Clicketts.
Coming back to Heywood Lane, Santa and the Mayor will visit Oakridge Acres, Tudor Way and St. David’s Close before going back along Serpentine Road and down Broadwell Hayes & the Maudlins.
Heading back towards town, Santa will go up Greenhill and into Greenhill Avenue before turning left into Warren Street. They will then pass the Town Walls as they make their way along South Parade, passing Augustus Place.
Their tour will then take them down Park Road, Edward Street, Queens Parade, Church Park and Trafalgar Road before turning into Picton Road and Picton Terrace before reaching the Esplanade.
After visiting Victoria St., and Southcliff St. they will loop around St. Florence Parade, Esplanade and Sutton Street before returning to South Parade. They will then go through Belmont Arch, past the Imperial and up Lower Frog Street, before returning to the De Valence Pavilion.
