A recent concert hosted by the Mayor of Tenby, in support of the town’s Avenue Centre, has been described as a ‘fabulous’ evening.
Mayor, Clr. Laurence Blackhall, hosted a gala concert in the De Valence Pavilion, in support of the Avenue Centre last month, telling his colleagues at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, how it had been a ‘privilege’ to be part of the event.
“Thanks to the Quaynotes choir and all of those involved, it was a fabulous evening,” he said.
“The town council strongly defended the position of the Avenue Centre during its fight, and we congratulate them on the scope of their work,” he continued, with colleague Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown calling the occasion ‘very emotional’.
Clr. Blackhall also told his fellow councillors that it had been a ‘pleasure’ to attend the Salvation Army’s concert to mark its 130th anniversary of worship and service in the town.
