WATCH: Pembrokeshire Photography has captured the full extent of flooding near the Ritec at Tenby, which is hitting national headlines.

A ‘Severe Flood Warning’ was issued by Natural Resources Wales (NRW) for the Ritec at Tenby yesterday, as the river levels continued to rise in the aftermath of Storm Henk.

A large number of caravans at Kiln Park have been submerged in floodwater.

The flooding also spread to the Clicketts area, and Lower Park Road, down from the Harbour Wealth office. Staff this morning noted that cars were turning around and driving back up the one-way road.

And in one garden in Quarry Cottages behind the office some swans came to visit.

An emergency full road closure is still in place outside Kiln Park and along Marsh Road, and routes through to Penally and Gumfreston are shut off. Traffic lights were installed to protect traffic from hitting the flooded half of the road on Tuesday evening (January 2), with the floodwater rising and spreading across the road.

The 349 bus service between Haverfordwest and Tenby has not been able to serve the whole route due to flooding along the A4139. The service was unable to serve Lamphey, Hodgeston, Jameston, Manorbier, Lydstep, Penally and Marsh Road today. Buses have been travelling from Pembroke to Tenby via Fingerpost, Milton and Kilgetty. The diversion will be reviewed tomorrow (Thursday). For those living in these areas, the Fflecsi South Pembrokeshire service has been running as it can use the smaller roads which cannot be served by the 349 buses.
