Sir, We have recently returned from a fortnight's holiday in Lydstep and spent several days visiting your wonderful town as well as exploring the breathtaking coastline and beaches. Caldey, too, was on our list.
I feel compelled to write to congratulate you and all those responsible for making and keeping Tenby in such an immaculate state. Everywhere was clean and tidy, with some fantastic little shops, memorable eating places and even a quirky horse and trap experience. We met 'Mr. Ed' personally.
But most of all we were entranced by the walkways along the cliffs with their abundant and imaginative flower displays. It must take most of your budget to keep the town looking so pristine at all times, safe too in the evenings.
Everybody who visits Tenby admires THE most picturesque and most photographed harbour and hopefully they also take the trouble to climb Castle Hill to visit the museum and most prestigious art gallery. It really is a gem for a small town and one not to be missed. The curators are to be congratulated on the displays.
I have never written in such a way before, but we really were so delighted with our latest visit to South Pembrokeshire and all it has to offer, especially your glorious town.
Mrs. Maureen Blower, Porthmadog, Gwynedd.
