A local restaurant and takeaway has scooped not one, but two awards in the Food Awards Wales 2023.

Lotus Restaurant and Takeaway in Pendine has been awarded Best Oriental Establishment and South West Restaurant of the Year.

The final of the Food Awards Wales 2023 was held at Mercure Cardiff Holland House on 26 June, where Kim Chin and Greg Durban picked up the restaurant’s two trophies.

With a five star hygiene rating and a stack of accolades including a 2022 TripAdvisor Travellers Choice badge, Lotus is situated in the Parry Thomas Centre, Pendine, Carmarthenshire.

The restaurant offers chef-prepared delicious Chinese, Malay and Thai dishes and an extensive takeaway menu including gluten-free and vegan options. The dining room enjoys stunning views of the sea at Pendine.

Lotus is open from 4.30-10pm Tuesday to Saturday; 4.30-9.30pm Sundays. Lunchtime opening times are Friday to Sunday, 12 noon to 2pm.
