Three great bands have been booked for Narberth & Whitland Rotary’s major charity fundraiser this August, culminating in a two hour performance by UK Fleetwood Mac.
This is the 4th annual Narberth Outdoor Rock event which has grown in size and popularity. Last year, just under £20,000 was raised for worthy causes including many Pembrokeshire-based charities.
Fans of rock music are in for a festival-style treat on Saturday, August 3 at the Narberth RFC Stadium. The arena-style setting allows cover for the spectators to enjoy experience, come rain or shine. The event has wheelchair access too.
With gates opening at 4.30pm, the opening Act is a local band.
Seasoned musicians from Pembrokeshire, The Sleeping Dogs emerged as a rock band in 2014. They excel at delivering unparalleled live entertainment through their performance of all-time classics across a range of genres.
The second early evening act is Phil Mountford’s Forever Elton, a five-piece band with rave reviews.
Forever Elton performs a stunning homage to the music of Sir Elton John and the lyrics of Bernie Taupin. Taking a fresh approach to Elton’s music, the show features authentic costumes and live piano playing which has seen the successful act tour throughout the UK and abroad.
The band’s multi-talented musicians have between them totalled many decades of professional performances in prestigious venues including the Royal Albert Hall, the Sage Gateshead, Birmingham Symphony Hall, NEC, and the Berlin Konzerthaus.
Phil Mountford himself is an award wining classical and film composer and musician.
Final act of the evening, with a two hour song-packed slot, is the UK’s top Fleetwood Mac tribute show, UK Fleetwood Mac.
This exceptional band has spent a huge amount of time carefully recreating the look, sound and playing style of Fleetwood Mac. All members play live and unadulterated, delivering a show as close to the real thing as possible.
