This weekend, pupils from Tenby schools are being handed the chance to showcase their artwork at the seaside town’s De Valence venue - following an open event where they were invited to paint their picturesque surroundings up at Castle Hill.
On Saturday, August 10 and Sunday, August 11 a free open community arts exhibition in the the pop up community art space of the De Valence Pavilion on Upper Frog Street will take place, with mostly school children's work from St Teilo's, Tenby Church in Wales Junior School and Ysgol Greenhill on display.
The artwork comes from the event Tenby Arts Events held up Castle Hill last month where over 240 students attended along with other families and individuals were invited to paint their picturesque surroundings.
“There will also be other local artists on show, who many are only just now getting confidence to display their art,” said Tenby’s Mayor Cllr Dai Morgan.
“We are proud to supply a platform for anyone to exhibit some fantastic pieces.
“Over the weekend the ages will range from 5 year olds up to someone in their 70s.”
Doors will be open from 10am to 4pm.
