To celebrate its relaunch as The Bridge Saundersfoot, Grace Church will be holding a free family ‘Hello Funday’ at the Regency Hall with food, balloon man, bouncy castle, crafts and other activities.
At the Regency Hall on Sunday September 17, all are invited and welcome to the completely free ‘Hello Funday’. The family event runs from 12 noon to 3pm.
Grace Saundersfoot Church whose tagline was ‘life from a fresh perspective’ began a few years ago pre-covid and returned to meeting publicly over 14 months ago. Now a registered charity, the church is rebranding as The Bridge Saundersfoot.
The church enjoys bringing people together to present the Christian faith in a new and appealing way suitable for the modern era, as well as finding ways to serve in and with the local community.
The church holds ‘Hello Sunday’ each week; a service for anyone and everyone, even those who normally wouldn’t darken the doors of a church.
Every Sunday at Regency Hall, everyone is invited to come for 10am for breakfast. This leads into 40 minutes of songs, life stories, clips and a ten-minute talk, all in a relaxed and informal café-style setting. Kids Konnect runs separately for primary age children during ‘Hello Sunday’.
The Bridge wants to be involved with the people of Saundersfoot during the week as well as on a Sunday. A couple of community projects run regularly:
• Regency Rompers – a weekly session run on a Monday morning 9.30-11am at Regency Hall, a place for parents/grandparents/child minders to meet and chat and for babies and toddlers to have fun.
• SYC – Saundersfoot Youth Club, again a weekly event on a Tuesday evening for secondary school age young people.
Grace Saundersfoot/The Bridge has also held events over the last year that have raised money for local charities and groups. The church sees the community of Saundersfoot, in its diversity, as very important and seeks to support and be an active part where it can.
Launch celebrations will continue on Wednesday September 20 with a celebration in the Regency Hall, featuring a guest speaker. Starting at 7pm, the celebration will be a chance to look back with gratitude for the last 14 months, to hear local stories, and to look forward with expectation at the year ahead. Light refreshments will be served and again all are welcome.
