The former Wales rugby captain, who earned 100 caps for his country, will be bringing his larger-than-life personality to a spectacular production of Aladdin this December. He will be taking on the magical role of the Genie, joining Drew Baker as Widow Twankey and Tom Dyer from Pure West Radio as the villainous Abanazer.

The Big Pembrokeshire Pantomime team are thrilled and “absolutely over the moon” that Welsh rugby legend Gareth Thomas will be joining the cast this year.

“Gareth is not only a national treasure but also has the charisma and stage presence that will make him a perfect Genie,” said a spokesperson for the Big Pembs Panto. “His addition to our cast brings a whole new level of magic to what was already shaping up to be our most spectacular show yet."

Drew Baker, who will both direct the production and don the outrageous costumes of Widow Twankey, added: “Working with Gareth is going to be absolutely brilliant! He brings so much energy and enthusiasm to everything he does, and I know audiences are going to be utterly spellbound by his performance. The chemistry between our cast is already fantastic, and I can't wait for everyone to see what we've got in store – it's going to be our biggest, boldest and funniest pantomime yet!”

Aladdin will run from December 10 to 31, 2025 at the Boulevard Theatre, Milford Haven. Don’t miss your chance to see this magical production featuring one of Wales’ most beloved sporting heroes in a role that promises to grant everyone's wish for a perfect family Christmas entertainment.
