Tenby is gearing up for the brand new festival Y Lle Da/The Good Place - with a weekend of creativity, culture, and community promised for the seaside town.

The festival is taking place from March 21-23 at multiple venues across Tenby, offering an exciting lineup of music, workshops, panels, and more, with something for everyone as well as several free workshops.

A diverse range of panels and activities designed to engage, teach, and inspire attendees has been curated Whether you’re a child discovering new creative skills or an adult seeking industry insights, the weekend promises enriching experiences.

For Children:

• Lego Stop Motion Animation: Dive into the world of animation by creating your own stop-motion film with Lego!

• Di Ford Collage a Poster or Headdress: Unleash creativity by making your own vibrant poster or striking headdress.

• Botanical Printmaking & Natural Dyeing: Experience the magic of plants with hands-on workshops that bring hidden colours to life on fabric. Plus, explore the fascinating sounds plants make in reaction to their environment, recorded using specialised audio technology with Makepeace Studios.

• Creative Writing with Connor Allen (former Children’s Laureate for Wales): Tap into your imagination and improve your creative writing skills.

For Adults:

• DJ Andy Smith (Portishead) and Nick Halkes (Founder of XL Recordings & Manager of The Prodigy): Join an exclusive panel discussion with two iconic figures in the music industry, sharing stories and insights from their incredible careers.

• PRS for Music’s John Hywel Morris leads a panel on ‘How to Make Money in the Music Industry’ - A must-attend for aspiring artists and industry professionals. Morris will be joined by Martin Goddard, Director of Merger Media; Danny Chang, BAFTA-nominated composer, producer, and arranger; and Suzanne Griffiths Rees, Arts & Development Officer at the Arts Council of Wales.

Live Art & Community Engagement

The festival also features live art performances, including creations by Guy Manning and Sketchy Welsh, who will bring their unique artistic visions to life in front of your eyes.

In addition, don’t miss ‘The Big Sing’ - a community event aimed at raising funds for local charity PATCH, where everyone is invited to join in and make their voice heard for a great cause culminating in a flash mob performance in Tudor Square.

Over 50 Live Artists and Bands Perform Across the Town

The festival’s music lineup is equally impressive, with over 50 live artists and bands performing across the town throughout the weekend.

Headlined by Gruff Rhys renowned frontman of Super Furry Animals, the performances also include incredible talent such as N'famady Kouyaté, Samana, Cerys Hafana, Das Koolies, DJ Andy Smith, Mace The Great, Sage Todz, Rona Mac, Kizzy Crawford and many more.

Music lovers are in for a treat as they enjoy a diverse mix of live performances in venues across the town.

Dj Andy Smith & Nick Halkes panel discussion includes BSL interpretation and audio description as does Cerys Hafana’s set at St Mary’s Church.
