A magical atmosphere at Ysgol Harri Tudur recently when the Pembroke Rotary Club held their St Patrick’s Night Spectacular.

The evening on March 17 was extremely entertaining with the Murphy’s Celtic Legacy giving a performance of Irish Dancing based on the style of Riverdance – The theme of their performance was ‘St Patrick’s Celebration’.

Murphy’s Celtic Legacy is a spectacular production breathing new life into Irish dance, fusing it with contemporary choreography, world class performances and an epic original soundtrack.

Its producer Chris Hannon was formerly a lead dancer in Michael Flatley’s ‘Lord of the Dance’.

Murphy’s Celtic Legacy was supported by Bernadette School of Irish Dancing, a local group committed to providing traditional Irish Dance instruction, focusing on individual skill as well as teamwork.

The dancers learn the value of hard work, teamwork and dedication while gaining knowledge and respect for Irish Culture.

President Rotarian Gavin Lloyd was delighted with the support of the public on the night and expressed his thanks to the performers for such a professional and entertaining performance.

He thanked Mr Nick Makin and his colleagues for the use of the excellent facilities at Ysgol Harri Tudur in Pembroke.

Gavin also expressed his immense gratitude to Valero the main sponsors of the evening together with the numerous other local businesses that supported the evening.

The profit raised at the event will be used to support local charities and other Rotary projects.
