A month before its fabulous Steampunk Festival, Tenby will be celebrating the heart of Welsh culture with the St David’s Community Festival 2025.
From Thursday, February 27 to Saturday, March 8, the Pembrokeshire seaside town hosts a festival packed with events celebrating the community, culture and history of Wales.
Whether you’re living in Tenby or making a special trip, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Admission to each event is £5 except where stated.
Photography Talk – Friday, February 28, 7pm at St Johns Church Hall. A must-see talk by local photographer John Archer Thompson from Dale Fort, showcasing stunning nature photography and stories.
Fun for all with the Noson Lawen Variety Show – Saturday, March 1 at Church House. Do you have a hidden talent? This is your chance to shine! From singing to comedy, magic or even snake-charming - all are welcome to perform in this family-friendly celebration. Donations to charity.
Waldo Williams Talk – Sunday, March 2, 7pm at Church House. A heartfelt discussion on the life and works of renowned poet Waldo Williams by his nephew Ty Williams.
A Cocktail Mixed in Wales: Play by Mark Lewis – Monday, March 3, 7pm at Church House. This gripping new play explores an imagined meeting between Richard Burton, Stanley Baker and Rachel Roberts at a Hollywood party in 1964 and stars Mark Lewis, Andrew Davies and Sharon Thompson in the lead roles.
Under Milk Wood Film Screening – Tuesday, March 4, 7pm at the De Valence Pavilion. Relive Dylan Thomas’ masterpiece in this classic adaptation starring Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor.
Open Rehearsal with St Mary’s Handbell Ringers – Wednesday, March 5, 7.30pm at Church House. Drop in to watch a rehearsal, learn about handbells, and enjoy refreshments. Free entry.
Celtic Mythology with Glyn Harries – Thursday, March 6, 7pm at the Mayor’s Parlour, De Valence Pavilion. Explore the legends of Wales, from the Mabinogion to UFO sightings, with this fascinating talk.
Parti Dysgu Cymraeg Sir Penfro – Friday, March 7 at Church House. An evening of Welsh folk songs, bringing the community together. Donations to charity.
