The September meeting of Saundersfoot WI began with a minute’s silence in memory of Pat Wood, who for many years was Secretary.

Pat was always enthusiastic for life, joining in all WI activities and those of the Saundersfoot community; she will be sorely missed.

President Gwen welcomed everyone. The minutes of the last meeting were read and signed. Dates were noted in the newsletter. Jean was thanked for the beautiful table flowers.

Despite being a rainy day, members enjoyed their outing to the Penrallt Garden Centre. Marlene won the competition for autumn flowers, Jean and Peggy won Raffle prizes.

Secretary Sue displayed some of the beautiful miniature dolls she makes, showing how intricate it is to make the costumes, with miniature flowers, baskets, and hats. She also has miniature dolls houses and shops. Jean then treated her fellow Saundersfoot WI members to some quizzes while they enjoyed tea and biscuits.

Next meeting will be October 19. New members are always welcome.
