The community music festival at Crymych was originally planned for May 2020, but the lockdown put a stop to the plans of the voluntary committee organising the event known as Gwyl Fel ‘Na Mai. But two years on and all the plans are in place for a great music festival on Saturday, May 7, 2022.

The event organisers are reassured of having protection from the weather as it will be held at the Frenni Transport Big Shed, Parc Gwynfryn, Crymych!

Volunteer chairman of the festival, Cris Tomos noted: “We have less than a month left now but more than 500 tickets have gone already!”

Cris added, “It is great to work with the local voluntary committee to organise the event. Many young people are involved so that we develop the next generation of local musical talents and bands.”

There are two stages of singers and bands on two Frenni Transport lorries! Artists such as Dafydd Iwan, Bwncath, Los Blancos, Mei Gwynedd a’r band, and many more.

There is a special children’s area where children have free entry as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

It’s going to be an unforgettable music event for Crymych and the surrounding area. Tickets are available online at www.felnamai.co.uk or Siop Sian, Crymych or Awen Teifi, Cardigan.

The organisers are seeking more stewards and if people can give two hours to help out then they will have free access for the whole event. To register as a steward please email [email protected].

The volunteers on the committee wish to thank all sponsors and supporters, especially Mathew Parry and the family for the assistance of Frenni Transport in the use of their depot site. Profits from the event will be used to promote the development of musical talent in the area and encourage the formation of new bands to perform at next year’s event.
