Carmarthenshire County Council is celebrating St David’s Day (March 1) - with events across the county.

The St David’s Flag will be raised at the Council’s main buildings in Ammanford, Carmarthen, and Llanelli from February 28 to 3 March 3, with County Hall illuminated in red and green on March 1.

Amongs events taking place, Theatrau Sir Gâr has organised St David’s Day celebration concerts at its venues. These events are presented in partnership with Loud Applause Productions and will feature talented Welsh performers.

Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Leisure, Culture and Tourism - Cllr Hazel Evans said: “St David’s Day is a fantastic chance for our communities to come together and honour our patron saint, Dewi Sant. Carmarthenshire is excited to celebrate with a range of events throughout the week and I encourage everyone to join in the local festivities."
