Pupils from Hayscastle School were treated to a day out at the Urdd Eisteddfod in Cardiff over the Whitsun holiday after winning a competition to name a charity CD. Over 30 Pembrokeshire schools took part in recording the CD, with part of the profits from sales being shared with the Pembrokeshire Hospice Project which is a partnership between the Paul Sartori Foundation and The Shalom Trust. Pupils from Hayscastle, who sang their contribution at the CD's launch, won the competition which was an initiative between Pembrokeshire Schools, Radio Ceredigion, Y Cymro and County Echo and the main sponsors, Western Power Distribution, who also kindly paid for the school's coach and entry to the eisteddfod. The CD, which was named 'Per Nodau Penfro', is now available for £9.95 direct from Radio Ceredigion.
