The remarkable achievements of a Tenby pupil have been celebrated at an inspiring assembly involving the whole school.
Ysgol Greenhill pupil Lily Rice was selected to represent Team Wales at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in August 2022. She competed in the S8 100m backstroke and finished third in the final, achieving her dream of winning a Commonwealth medal.
She returned to the sport of swimming nine months ago after previously focussing on Wheelchair MX where she became World Champion.
Recently, Webb 7 Tutor Group held an assembly to celebrate Lily’s achievements. The assembly was delivered to the whole school under the title ‘Aspirations’. Lily aimed for a medal and achieved it. She spoke brilliantly about how to dream big and work hard - it’s not always easy but it’s important to keep going. Lily is a fantastic role model, and as Webb 7 said: “We at Greenhill School are all very proud of you Lily, and wish you the best of luck for your future aspirations.”
