Cefin Campbell, Plaid Cymru Member of the Senedd for Mid and West Wales recently visited Ysgol Hafan y Môr in Tenby to meet with staff and pupils and learn more about the school.

Joined by local Plaid Councillors, Michael Williams (county councillor for Tenby’s North ward) and town councillor Paul Rapi, Mr Campbell met with assistant headteacher, Sioned King.

The Welsh Medium School was opened in September 2016, and over recent years has seen the school going from strength to strength with pupils’ numbers on the rise.

“I was delighted to recently visit Ysgol Hafan y Môr and learn more about the high level of teaching being undertaken at the school,” said Mr Campbell following his visit.

“With the decline in Welsh speakers recorded in last year’s census, it is so heartening to see Welsh-medium schools - such as Hafan y Môr – thriving.”
