Carew Memorial Hall was full to the rafters with members of the local community on the evening of Friday, May 20, with all in attendance there to support Sageston CP School by participating in a Family Prize Bingo Night organised and run by the Friends of Sageston School (FOSS).
The evening, which had originally been scheduled for before the Easter break, but delayed due to Covid-19, was a resounding success with the FOSS raising an incredible £1,400 for the school.
A team of dedicated parents and family members, led by Lisa Puzey, Kim Leach, Yvonne Marriott and Nancy Simes, ensured that the event was able to take place and that it was a huge success. They worked tirelessly before, during and after the event.
Miss Sian Cole, Swan Class’s teacher, was the brilliant bingo caller for the evening, taking to the microphone to ensure that everything ran smoothly.
As well as families very kindly donating various items, a number of local companies and businesses generously donated prizes, these included - Rembrandts, Celtic Haven, Something Different, Cheeky Chimps, Harley-Kates Hair and Beauty, Martin Rycroft, Outer Reef, Torch Theatre, Hughes and John, Tesco, Asda, Dorian Spencer Art, Vincent Davies, Shoreline, The Grove and Pembrokeshire Leisure Centres.
