The uniforms have been unveiled for the two new Tenby primary schools set to open this September.
Most pupils at the current Tenby VC Infants and Tenby Junior schools will be transferring to one of the new schools at the start of the autumn term.
One school will be English-medium (Tenby Church in Wales VC Primary School), and the other will be Welsh-medium (Ysgol Hafan y Mor). Both schools will educate children between the ages of three and eleven.
The uniforms for both new schools are available to buy at Tees ‘R’ Us in New Hedges and Babi Beau in Tenby.
Pupils at Tenby Church in Wales VC Primary School will have royal blue jumpers with white polo shirts, while children at Ysgol Hafan y Mor will have navy jumpers and green polo shirts.
Tenby Church in Wales VC Primary School will cater for up to 390 pupils and will be located in a new building, which is currently under construction on a site adjacent to the current Tenby Junior School. The headteacher will be Mr. John Palmer.
Ysgol Hafan y Mor is being established in response to the growing demand for Welsh-medium education in South Pembrokeshire. It will cater for up 210 pupils and will be located in the current junior school building, which will be extensively renovated over the summer holidays. The headteacher will be Mrs. Victoria Hart-Griffiths.
The cost of the £8.37 million project is being shared between Pembrokeshire County Council and the Welsh Government 21st Century Schools programme.
