A one-day workshop will take place at Haverhub, in Haverfordwest, for those interested in developing writing and journalistic skills.
The workshop will be conducted by Fleet Street journalist Nigel Summerley and Kitty Parsons, who run an online magazine with a worldwide readership. Nigel has worked on staff at the London Evening Standard, The Daily Telegraph, the Express, The Sunday Telegraph and The Oldie, and has freelanced for many national newspapers, as well as a range of magazines and websites.
The aim of the course on Tuesday, September 17 is to have a day in convivial company with opportunities to practise interviewing and writing techniques, while also getting lots of tips and advice – including how to keep it all safe and legal.
Running from 10am to 4pm with a break for lunch (not provided), the course has been organised by Volunteering Matters which has a long history of social action volunteering in Wales. Its aim is to reduce inequality and social isolation by providing opportunities for people to share skills.
This one-day course is free but places are limited. You can book now or ask for more information by calling 07760 307880 or emailing Kitty at [email protected].
