Easter treats have been delivered to children around New Hedges, thanks to local volunteers.
Members of the ‘New Hedges and St Mary Out Liberty Friends’ group on Facebook, have spent the last few weeks collecting Easter Eggs for youngsters in the village, and spent the weekend delivering the treats to households.
“Thank you very much to everyone who came out in the rain to collect the children's Easter Egg goodie bags. We hope you all enjoyed them, as much as we all enjoyed bringing it together,” said Melisa Elisabeth from the group.
“Massive and heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this possible. No matter what format help came in, without that help, things like this wouldn't be possible.
“Thank you to everyone who generously donated, from the community champions, to small independent businesses, to individuals, you were all super generous.
“We hoped for an Easter Egg for every child in the village, but you all gave them so much more.”
